Licensed professionals who every renewal period seek after MFT continuing education, a new path and license has been established. California’s Board of Behavioral Sciences has instituted a new license, the LPCC (licensed professional clinical counselor). This new license can be obtained not only from existing licensed professionals in California, but from those licensed in other states as well. There is a “grandparenting” path that the CA BBS established for those wishing to apply for LPCC licensure.
