No question that China is leading in the world of technology so to learn Chinese would be very beneficial in more ways than one. Since the US trade with China consistently having the skill of speaking the language would be quite beneficial. When it comes to learning a second language, many schools seem to stick to Spanish and French. While there is nothing wrong with either of these language, it would be just as sensible for schools to try to teach students how to speak Mandarin. Mandarin is the first language of both China and Taiwan. It is the secondary language of many other countries in Asia.
